Pay What It’s Worth To You
I believe in a different way of doing business. In a more fair, equal and balanced approach that means the resources you need, to make the changes you want, are available, accessible and affordable, whenever you need.
Part of my personal journey is about meeting more people, opening up to more people, and expanding my circles (hence what I’m doing at Location Independent!), so the idea of making my own work more exclusive, more expensive and working with fewer people runs counter to that.
Instead of raising my fees – as most coaches, mentors, consultants and strategists do themselves and would likely advise me to do too – I’m opening my entire business model up on a “Pay What It’s Worth” basis.
In a nutshell, you can book a session with me or a series of sessions and pay what you can, or what you feel the results would be worth to you.
This is a model I’ve often encouraged my clients to pursue but so far none have. So now I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and do it myself!
How Do You Figure Out What To Pay?
I’m pretty sure this part will make some folk nervous! Perhaps you’re afraid of offending me, nervous about not paying ‘enough’, embarrassed that you can’t pay what you’d like to but current circumstances just won’t allow you to stretch to it…
Please know that I’m intimately acquainted with the ups and downs of life, with the ups and downs of finances, and with the ups and downs of doing your own thing!
I’ve been running my own business for over a decade and have experienced the rollercoaster ride of feast and famine, and of not quite knowing if you’ll make enough to cover your next mortgage/rent payment. Equally, I’ve experienced the confidence that my business can support me and my family comfortably, and I know that circumstances change all the time.
I trust that you’ll do the right thing by you and by me.
If you still need some kind of guidance, if I were to charge my usual hourly rate, it is currently £295 (c. US$380) but I have also worked with folk for 10% of that (£25, in case your maths is a bit like mine sometimes!!). So whatever you choose to pay, I’m excited to work with you and help you move forwards.
(And if, after we’ve worked together, you feel my support has been worth more than you paid and you’d like to pay more, feel free to buy me lunch or dinner, or even just a hot chocolate or turmeric latté!)
Please remember, whatever you choose to value my support at, is OK by me.
I know we are all at different stages of our journeys, in different financial positions and this changes, frequently!
I will not be offended but am instead excited and looking forward to getting to know and work with you, whatever you can afford to invest to change things for yourself, with my support…
How This Works
Step 1: Decide what it is you’d like support with; I can help with:
- Most things related to business, whether online or off, especially if it’s about getting started or putting in some more foundational structures for a small but growing business.
- Most things related to online tech – whether that’s setting up a website, choosing & using a wide variety of online tools, or how to get started online with the basic tech tools that’ll help.
- Personal roadblocks and challenges which are preventing you from getting where you want to be.
- General brainstorming around your ideas, how to bring them to life and the options you have.
- Providing a neutral, third party, fairly experienced view (in life and business!) on something you feel too mired in to have a clear perspective.
Step 2: Decide what it would be worth to you to move forwards past the block and/or achieve your goal.
Step 3: Send me an email here with what you’d like support with, and how much you’d like to pay.
Step 4: I’ll send you an invoice and once this is settled, will send you a link to my calendar to book your 60-minute session.
P.S. If deciding what to pay makes you nervous, I reserve 2 spots per month at £50 per hour. Book one here (subject to availability).
