More Wordpress Ramblings: Wordpress Plugins

I mentioned I’d bore you more with some of the wordpress plug-ins I’ve installed, used and found a god-send for my all-new wordpress LIP blog…well sorry, you can’t escape. Here they are:

Oneclick - must-have to install themes and plug-ins with one click (funny that) without all the palaver of downloading, unzipping and then ftp’ing.

All In One SEO Pack
- to help manage and create individual titles, descriptions and key words for each post.

Better Comments Manager
- lets me reply to comments from the admin page.

Page Link Manager - I know there’s code I can use for this, but this plug-in lets me easily decide which pages appear in the navigation and which don’t.

Subscribe to Comments - the thing that sends you an email if you comment and want to keep up with who else comments on the same post.

Top Commentators - lets you add a list to the sidebar, ranking your top commentators. Get some competition going, I say!!

Whilst this isn’t the full list, these are the ones I’m currently most enamoured with.

Oh yes and before I go, I want to give some link love to Lorelle on Wordpress (great resource which I found too late - but I know it now) who wrote about being “enchanted” (I love that word) with my thoughts about installing Wordpress over on Blog Herald.

Ah, shucks, and link lovies and huggies back at you! :D

I love it when people clearly recommend specific WordPress Plugins as that helps out those who work so hard for little return to create these invaluable Plugins, but also helps let other people know what is working for you, thus help them learn what can work for them.

Isn’t Better Comments Manager WordPress Plugin AWESOME! I really think that kind of feature should be incorporated into the core programming. It just speeds up the whole commenting issue, doesn’t it?

Thanks!

@Lorelle - Indeed, and I’m using it now. I used to hate having to go to my own blog when it was on Typepad and leave a comment, going thru the whole captcha thing every time. SO SLOW. Better Comments is a god-send!
